Karel.ai Brand Development 2019
Karel is a conversational assistant artificial intelligence bot, developed by VisionSpace for operations of complex and critical systems in the space industry.
I started with the product logo and strategies of how to use its own elements in order to manifest the AI component of the product. The briefing for this Karel.ai CI was simple but challenging and had to answer 4 main requirements:
1- Connection to the client’s existing CI.
2 - Work as a simple monogram.
3 - Having a conceptual connection to robot / digital language / code.
4 - Modular design approach in order to use the same elements on future products.
The second step was to bring Karel to life. Since the name Karel was chosen by VisionSpace as an homage to the creator of the word ROBOT - a Czech writer named Karel Čapek (1890 - 1938). It became evident right away that our Karel should be a robot.
After having the brand well defined, it was time to bring the website to life. I wanted to create a single page layout that would guide the user through the particularities of the service in an easy, clear and illustrated way showing examples of what Karel can do.
